von Christian WittOn November 6th 2012, Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), Mississauga Chapter in joint efforts with Brampton Chapter, offered a Technical Seminar in the 244-seat Noel Ryan Auditorium at the Mississauga Central Library on Advancements in Glass Fibre Reinforcement.
The Central Library of the Mississauga Library System is one of the busiest libraries in Canada. The building officially opened on October 2, 1991 and was designed by Shore Tilbe Henschel Irwin Peters who also designed the Peel Board of Education headquarters and the police building in downtown Toronto.

Schöck ComBAR®: Project Update
von Lena HelmtsBorder crossing North Channel Bridge and Canal Bridge are two projects in eastern Ontario highlighted today as well as ComBAR®’s application as part of Toronto’s LRT expansion project.
In our last Schöck newsletter Bonnechere Bridge was introduced. This project is now at phase two and is expected to be completed by fall 2012.

Farewell!
von Zoha Bint DawoodSo comes an end to my work term at Schoeck Canada. Once again, I had a great time working there and learnt a lot. I had the chance to work on a number of ComBAR® projects. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to learn about the Isokorb®.
This term was especially exciting as I went on a solo site inspection. I visited the Eastgate Office Building in Edmonton, Alberta, to inspect the Isokorb® and answer the client’s queries.
