Isokorb® has been installed in a $1.4 billion project in lower Manhattan. The project includes a fascinating oculus (oeil de boeuf), measuring at 110 feet (33.5 meters) tall and 53 feet (16 meters) diameter. This eye, protruding from the main building of the New York Fulton Street Transit Station, is designed to provide annual daylight to the atrium civic space below, while also catching the eye of the 275,000 daily passengers of the transit station.
In November, Schöck held a seminar titled, Sustainable Design Knowledge: A Closer Look at Structural Thermal Breaks, at the Center for Architecture in New York.
The event was sold out two weeks prior, with 34 architects arriving after a long day in the office, to learn more about thermal break solutions.
Schoeck Canada exhibited at the Concrete Precaster Association of Ontario, 21st Annual Conference, presenting ComBAR® and Isokorb® product lines.
The show had the potential to meet with manufacturers who could include ComBAR® in their precast product lines, yet the clients we had hoped to speak with did not attend the conference this year. … weiterlesen
Schöck Isokorb® has been awarded Architectural Products, Product Innovation Award. The award recognizes architectural-related products with innovation and outstanding leadership in education, sustainability initiatives, and standards developments.
The Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation (CCOC), celebrated their “Topping-off” party at Beaver Barracks.
This project provided an introduction of Isokorb® to the rebar installation crew at AGF Raymond.
On October 2011, the U.S. Green Building Council hosted its first Greenbuild outside the United States. Greenbuild 2011, in Toronto.
